IMC-480 和 490 是需要以太网供电 (PoE) 的网络应用的完美解决方案，适用于建筑物内需要 PoE 为以太网设备供电的位置。IMC-480 和 490 系列提供三个端口：一个用于网络连接的光纤上行链路、一个提供以太网供电的 PoE/PSE 铜端口，以及一个用于将非 PoE 设备连接到同一光纤上行链路的铜端口。
