Designed with the Dual-Core/Quad-Core Intel® XEON® 5100/5300 processor and the latest chipset, it features 64-bit processing, Quad-core CPU power and the latest in memory & I/O technology to sustain high-speed network traffic while performing high performance data processing. With up to 16 GB of fully-buffered DIMM memory, the next evolution of memory technology, it allows scalability and up to 21 GB memory bandwidth for greater performance. The PCI Express technology improves the I/O bandwidth and system total bandwidth up to 64 Gb/s. Four Intel PCIe 82571 LAN controllers offer eight 10/100/100 Mbps LAN ports with supreme network performance through the front panel. The system supports two optional 3.5” hot-swappable SATA HDDs and CompactFlash for OS and network security applications. The HDD can be easily inserted/removed from the front panel. The front panel also has a RJ45 type serial port, a 10/100 managed LAN port, two USB ports and an LCD module for local system management, maintenance, and diagnostics.
